Been Writer Busy

Hello everyone. Hope your spring has been a good one so far. For me, it's rain and snow. Yes, I said the "s" word. At my elevation it does happen and has been known to happen through June. Think of me while you're all warm and running about on the beach.

Over the past year I entered into a monthly submission schedule, which leaves not a lot of time for conversing. Although I still try. I do believe I have a couple friends who are missing me...somewhere out there in the world.

Anyway, upon doing the new submission I've gotten into a relative decent writing timetable. I will soon have four series' going and three more upcoming. See, I really have been a busy little writer bee.

I will say it again...and again when I get side tracked...my plan is to get into blogging at least once a month. I've said that every year and so far that's one resolution I've missed. And it's the only one I take on each year. Now that doesn't say much about me does it? Haha...

As before...I shall be back. Even if only to up date you all. Take care and blessings.

Who is With me?

So, who's ready for winter to be over? *raises hand* Yep, I am. It's the middle of April and SO ready for warmer weather it's not funny. Just got a smattering of rain/snow last night and it's spit little tiny bits of of white stuff late this morning. Don't get me wrong, I love winter. One of fave seasons, however, this 2013/2014 one is kicking my ass...as well as my electric bill.

Now, I will say this for the long lasting season, I was able to get many short stories written that required the fluffy white stuff. Which is a major plus, although I would like to work on warmer ones now...still waiting. Just last week we had highs in the 50's and 60's. Saturday was my favorite as we saw 70. Whoot! Whoot! That all ended late Saturday as a system came in and dumped first rain (which turned to ice on the cars) then snow. Not a whole lot, but enough to make Monday annoying. Now it's Wednesday and the chill is still in the air. Wonder what that means for spring and summer? I mean, it is spring, right? At least should be anyway. Bet I'll be screaming for cooler temperatures come July, I can feel it. *shakes head*

What have ya'll been up to these days? Waiting for the season to change and give us what we've had the past decade or so? Vacationing? Staying warm? Seeking out warmer climes all while wishing the US looked slightly more like what we've grown accustomed too over the years? You know shit's crazy when every state (in the lower 48, that is) is getting snow and that includes the panhandle of Florida. INSANE! Not to mention funny as hell. :-)

Tell me what ya'll have been up to. Share, share. I'm out till later.

Absence Equals Writing

First I want to apologize for my absence. I do have a good excuse though, honest. I've been writing and doing edits. You could say I've raked in the contracts and haven't stopped to take a breath over the past few months. Yay! I know, it's exciting. :-)

Catch up...I have a new book coming out approximately every couple of months this year. Starting February 28th with the release of Twin Flames: Soul Destiny, followed by a spring release of Twin Flames: Soul Design, then in the summer will be Twin Flames: Soul Nature. Hot of the heels of those is Twin Flames: Soul Revealed in summer/fall. Have a couple of editor call-outs, Dark Jewel and Dark Fire due around fall/winter. Not to mention a new series I've started, Divine Immortals: Immortal Bond. That one is in submissions and I'm waiting (on pins and needles) to hear about. There are others to follow in the 'Dark' books as well as Divine Immortals, but we'll wait and see. :-)

There really isn't much more to tell. What do you when you can't seem to be able to stop writing? I try to take breaks and relax, but that only lasts a few hours...if I'm lucky. Does anyone have any ideas? Not that I want to stop, it would be nice to relax once in a while. If only a day or maybe two. Just sayin'...:-)

Graduation and May Writing

I know, I'm late. *sigh* I really am working on it, honest. In my defense, I have been a little busy. My son is graduating this Sunday (May 19th), and school is ending for the youngest two. Summer vacation will be under way in just a few days and I can't wait. At the same time, I can. Once they're home that means I'll hear more 'Mom, she took that.' and 'Mom, make her stop.' There are many others, but if you have children or nieces and nephews, you know what I'm talking about.

I have also been called up for jury duty. Yeah, since it involves something I've gone through I won't be sitting there long. No defense attorney wants me sitting in judgment over his client. I detest jury duty. :-(

On a happier note...Spring final sprung and we've been dealing with warm weather. I mean awesomely warm weather. It's GREAT! My toes are unfroze and so is my nose. For the most part I am warm morning, noon and night. Happy, happy, happy! *singing*

As for writing...Oh that's been fun! I've finished Twin Flames: Soul Destiny, now I'm working on the submission package. Have I mentioned I'm SO not a fan of a synopsis? Yeah, I'm not. I know I have to write one, at the same time, I'm a pantser, which means I fly by the seat of my pants through the stories I write. Or as many writers prefer to say, my characters write the story, I'm just the tool they use to get it told. So outlines and all that, I don't have. And trust me when I say, when I have plotted, the story stopped dead in its tracks until I let it flow the way they wanted it to and not what I wanted. Lesson learned. *laugh* Let characters write the story, I'll just go with the flow. :-) I have also finished Book #4 in the Twin Flames series. Took just over a week to start it and finish it. Talk about AWESOME! I am a happy camper. The only thing missing is a title, hence the 'Book #4', I haven't figured out a title for it. Now I am starting on Book #5. Would be nice if that ones does the same thing as Book #4, I have a feeling it will. *chuckle* Just let it flow...

Alright, I'm out. I have to get some writing done and start thinking about a blog post for the MuseItHot blog that is starting back up again in June. When I know more I'll share here. Take care!

Hello All!

Well, I'm slowly starting to freeze again. It's funny, last week Tuesday we go buried under snow and then it melted around the weekend or so. Then on Tuesday (of this week!) we got plowed again! Same icy temps and wonderful 'white gold' with the frigid winds to boot. Now, don't get me wrong. I love snow and winter (it's actually one of my favorite seasons), but this is the middle of April. Doesn't that mean, rain? *sigh* Oh the joys of messed up seasons.

I've been horrible at posting here and I don't have a good enough excuse. I do apologize though. However, I can give you a reason for my absence and erratic postings. I have the attention span of a flea. No seriously, I do! I get sidetracked just leaving the living and going to the bathroom. Now if I'm heading to the kitchen...well, there's a whole other matter. Because I'll end up washing dishes or the counters. Hell, I'll even start sweeping the floor and rearranging the cupboards! While all of this is happening I'll promptly forget my true reason for walking away from my work and the computer to begin with. The next thing I know, I'm off doing something totally different again. You've heard, 'you're focus needs focus' well, in my case my attention needs attention. *laugh*

I'll barely acknowledge the Boston Marathon Bombing and the West Fertilizer Plant Explosion as well as the recent (tonight, Thursday) shooting on the MIT campus. That's just too much sorrow to focus on for longer then to say, I pray for each and to say it will get better.

My not paying attention to them may seem cold to you, but I am a writer, a mother, wife, sister, friend and the list continues. I prefer to enjoy the goods times over the bad, that's why we have them. And why it always seems the bad outnumber the good. It's because we're looking and seeing things the way we shouldn't. We should be looking at the good over the bad. I'm not saying ignore what happened, I'm saying acknowledge and move on. That's what healing is all about. Trust me on this, we all need the white light of healing surrounding right now.

So, I've rambled on about nothing and everything. A little bit of this and a little bit of that. I hope I haven't bored you to tears yet. *chuckle* I can, give me time and I will. Bad habit I guess you could say. I have set a timer and the alarm will sound next week about this time and I plan to here posting again. Even if it's just a short paragraph telling you all that I'm alive and well...and buried up to my eyeballs again in snow! Yeah, that's what they're saying. More of the 'white gold' is heading our way Sunday and Monday. I'm not really looking forward to it. My toes are ice and my nose is red. I really need the warmth that is normally Wyoming in April. Right now the yard is either mud, frozen, white or brown. Ick! I haven't seen green in my yard in almost a year. Now that's just flat out sad. Just sayin'...

Reliant

Has anyone ever wondered how we become reliant on other people, or just things in general? I've been wondering that recently. Yeah, the strange shit that wanders through your mind when you're sick, it's flippin' crazy! Anyway...Recently I've tried to figure out how I became reliant on certain things. Like, a computer, or music. Normally people don't see those things as addictions or items you can rely on. However, if you didn't have either, well, you'd miss them. I know I would. Even as a writer who can write as long as I have a piece of paper and pencil, I'm good to go. Now, if my hands stopped working like with RA, then I'd need my computer. As for music...well, I use tunes to transport me to another place deep within myself. The place where I create everything. I know, sounds crazy, huh? It does, but when it's what you've done for many years, if not decades, you realize you've become reliant.

So since I've bored you with something completely unrelated to writing I'll go back into my hole in the wall and see what other things I've relied on over the years. Have a good one ya'll!!

Twin Flames: Soul Memory Released

So as you can see I've been a little busy recently. Twin Flames: Soul Memory was released last week Friday (January 18, 2013) and I've been working on Twin Flames: Soul Destiny, which is the finale for Jairo and Joy. Does that mean the end of the series? Um...no highly doubtful, however, it does mean the end of taking two couples through three books. Not doing that again! LOL Seriously though, once I got through content and line edits, awaiting the cover, (which is AWESOME by the way) I started snipping away at the third book and ended up starting another. Ugh! The ideas that roam through your mind when you're supposed to being one thing instead of another are INSANE!

Anywho...added more content to Immortal Divides and Immortal Council and I think I can safely say I almost have Immortal Choice completed. Of course those are all up for debate, as every writer knows even when you think your finished you aren't actually. *sigh* So we shall see.

Recently I've roamed through just about every old manuscript I have and still can't really decide where to start working again. It never ends, does it? Nope, not really. Not if you want to remain in the writing industry and keep the readers attention and have them coming back for more.

And yes, I realize I've fallen behind on posting, sorry about that. I really was my intention to do better. Maybe that should've been my New Year's resolution...blog posting more timely. I can still pop that in there as I forewent the one about losing weight. *smirk* If it doesn't work the first -million- times why then keep adding it to the list? Just sayin'...

Okay, as much as I'd love to keep rattling on and boring ya'll to tears, I'm going to take my leave and see what I can put down for Kia and Brock...yeah, those are the names of my two mains in the next Twin Flames stories.

Be well, stay warm and Blessings to one and all!
